Title: Valentimes are Important Times
"Wow, what a haul, da ne!" Shinya peered over Atsushi's shoulder into his locker, whistling at the assortment of chocolates inside. "That's gotta be like a whole month's worth, da ne!"
"Eh," Atsushi shrugged, reaching into the pile of sweets to retrieve his shoes. "It's nothing. I don't even really like—"
He cut himself off suddenly as Shinya opened his locker to reveal one or two lonely treats. Shinya quickly tried to mask his expression of disappointment.
"Ah, great, da ne! Now I don't have to buy anything for stupid White Day, da ne!" His rationale sounded awfully forced.
"Yeah, that's pretty— hey look at that hot chick!"
"Where da ne?!" Shinya's head snapped around to look, oblivious to everything else while he scanned the hallway. "Aw, she's not that hot, da— What the hell are you doing, da ne?"
Atsushi finished shoving the contents of his shirt into the locker, kicking the ones he had dropped out of the way, and then straightened up again, running a hand through his hair and trying to look nonchalant.
"Well," he said, a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Now you definitely have to buy something for White Day."
